A system is in the eye (or mind) of the beholder. I am relaunching this blog to write and speak about systems-thinking and -working from many angles. I will draw from my many years of systems engineering, my practice in permaculture, and from living a (mostly) prepared life.
Join me as I examine:
- common features across systems of all types,
- what is different,
- what patterns arise,
- what tools we can bring to tackle the analysis and design of systems, and
- how the human, even communities, are elements of many systems.
I will bring you interviews with systems thinkers from many fields including systems engineering and permaculture where we seek answers to some of these questions. I’ll review books and tools and present case studies of systems analysis and design.
I’ll leave you for now with this question: What is the missing tool in in your systems thinking toolbox?
